Liberty Children's Home is registered at the Charity Commission for England and Wales as a charity and with HMRC for Gift Aid purpose. The charity was formed on 1st December 2009 and attained registered status on 5th July 2010, although two of the current trustees have been personally involved in supporting Liberty Children's Home in India since 2004. Originally, the house in India was called the Liberty Children's Home but on building the new Home, and now having the facilities for the children to remain at the Home through to university level education, it was felt that the full title should be "Liberty Children's Home and Student Hostel". The Home is run in India by an Indian registered charity called Abundant Life Ministries, run by Pastor Hezekiah. This is an independent charity, which has no connection with any other charities of a similar name, in any other country, and our UK charity is the only organisation that directly supports it.

The income of our charity comes from supporters who either give on a regular monthly basis or give one-off donations from time to time, proceeds from car boot sales, table sales and sponsored events. The car boot and table sales are stocked through donations of items from those wishihg to support the charity instead of giving financially. As a foster home, we do not know how long each child will be in residence, so the charity does not operate a "child sponsorship" program. All of the income of the charity, apart from the bank costs of transferring funds and operation of the "Virgin Money Giving" facility, is used in India.

If you would like to support the children at Liberty children's Home, please click on theVirgin button below and it will take you to our "Virgin Money Giving" page. There, you will be able to donate, using the secure Virgin site for credit/debit cards or PayPal or set up a regular payment. Please remember that if you are a tax payer, by indicating that we can reclaim Gift Aid, your donation will be increased by 25%, by the goverment.
