Liberty Children's Home has received a wonderful surprise from Julia Yandle, who wants to raise money for a project at the Home, in India, in memory of her brother, Duncan, and recognition of the anniversary of his 50th birthday on14 February 2014. The project that she has chosen is to provide an open sided roofed area for the children to dry their washed clothes, to sit and study and to use when the temperature is too hot or the weather too wet to be outside. The photos below show the dormitories with an artist impression of the proposed roof and the final finished roof.

This is the Home access road after heavy rain. This can be like this for many days and the children cannot leave the Home.
The children currently study outside, in front of their dormitories or in the walkway outside their rooms, dependent upon the weather.
The children wash their own clothes and hang them where they know they will dry. These are just 2 of the places - on the dormitory roof and on the firewood. When the rain comes, by the time that the children have collected their clothes, they need drying again or if they are blown onto the ground, need re-washing.
